Here you can lead a team of dedicated employees in preparing, serving, and ensuring midshipmenhave a nutritious, satisfying meal.The contract operates seven days a week and serves approximately 2,100 meals/day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Job Description: Leadthe operation of the Full Food Service Contract for the United States Merchant Marine Academy at King'sPoint, NY. In this role you will: -Be responsible for all contractual obligations outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW), Performance Requirements Summary (PRS), and, Deliverables Schedule -Maintain food and labor costs to align with budget -Work closely with the Contracting Officers Representativeto ensure government satisfaction is monitored and maintained -Consult with Executive Chef on food cost, menu development, and food quality, and special events -Meet regularly with Quality Control Coordinator to address any issues in QC reports -Be visible during meals and interact with Midshipmen to gauge customer satisfaction -Supervise and train management team -Develop systems to ensure Team Movement andKingspointermeals are delivered as needed -Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess: -5-7 yearexperience as a Food Service Directorin a high volume foodservice operation -A currentServSafeManager'scertification -Strong knowledge of local, state and federal food sanitation regulations -Good human relations with the ability to communicate in a courteous manner -Demonstratedknowledge of currentindustry trends -Experience with working with individuals in a supported employment services setting to promote job skills and economic self-sufficiency a huge plus -Bilingual English and Spanish speaking is a plus IND2019
