The Simulation Process and Data Management Deployment Specialist is responsible for helping customers to deploy enterprise-level solutions that enable customers to more effectively utilize advanced simulation technologies throughout their product development and engineering process.

This position will work closely with the customer, ANSYS solution architects and ANSYS implementation specialists to
Understand the existing IT landscape of a customer
Develop a solution for adapting the ANSYS solution such that integrates with the existing IT landscape
Execute on deploying the solution and integrating it with the overall IT landscape

Successful candidates will also work with ANSYS product development to understand and influence product capabilities and roadmaps, and should have a passion for applying technology to deliver solutions that help customers engineer better products.

Analyze business and technical needs, requirements, and the state of a customer's current infrastructure, operations, and engineering workflows
Utilize the ANSYS SPDM Platform as the foundation to select the appropriate technologies and design complete simulation solutions that transform customer product development processes around simulation to facilitate more engineering in the digital domain
Articulate the ANSYS value proposition, which may encompass its entire suite of products
Lead all communication, coordination, and execution of IT infrastructure and technical activities throughout the customer engagement process, articulating delivery strategy and directing platform deployment and subsequent upgrades
Create elegant and useful solutions to solve complex business problems by working across various teams and understanding the needs of customers
Directly engage and challenge the IT infrastructure leadership and adjust deployment models and strategy on-the-fly as unexpected deviations occur, without losing IT support
Participate in internal corporate initiatives to further enhance the solution suites, presales/sales enablement and professional growth
Be a team player who can collaborate effectively with all key ANSYS and customer stakeholders including sales, product development, project management, implementation engineers, and end users, IT leadership

Bachelor's degree in Applied Math, Computer Sciences or related field
5 years of working experience in an agile team within commercial software development and/or IT infrastructures
Experience in one the following environments:
Engineering Software - ANSYS and/or Commercial CAE/CAD/EDA
Enterprise Systems - PLM/ALM/ERP
Demonstratable skills in writing and presenting in fluent English
Logical problem-solving mindset and the ability to clearly communicate the situation and proposed solution to the customer directly and in remote presentations to customers
Self-starter who possesses a sense of urgency, strong organizational and follow up skills
Ability to travel up to 40%

Master's or Other Advanced Degree in Applied Math, Computer Sciences or related field
Additional degree or course study in Engineering Mechanics, Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering or other technical discipline is a plus
A minimum of 5 years of very deep, broad, and demonstratable experience within IT infrastructures, such as the following:
Windows - 2012/2016/2019/Core and Nano Servers
Storage Platforms - SAN/NAS-GNS-NFS/CIFS/Block/Parallel
Authentication - Cross Platform including SSO Methods
Enterprise and Cloud Hypervisor Platforms
Network Infrastructure - Switching/Routing/VPN/IP Stack
Encrypted Web Servers - IIS and Apache
Encrypted Load Balancers - Commercial Appliances and OS Based
Firewalls - Commercial Appliances and OS Based
All Common/Current Client Based Access to Above Infrastructures
Experience in Workload/Job Schedulers - Cross Platform and Cloud [HPC/HPV]
Proficiency in Python, C#, .NET and WPF
Proficiency in Front-end programming: JavaScript, React, jQuery, HTML5,
Good understanding of web architecture, distributed systems and web APIs, such as REST
Experience with Web server technologies, such as Microsoft SQL Server
Ability to communicate equally effective at the executive level to discuss business requirements and value, and at the engineering level to discuss technical requirements, capabilities, and benefits
