We have created a unique IT Intern Development Program which has deep levels of supportand involvement from the entire IT team.

The intern program includes formal and on-the-job trainingfocused on building insurance, technical, and professional skills. A blended learning approach keepsparticipants engaged in group sessions with subject matter experts, web-based courses, job shadowing, and hands-on training.

We are seeking a highly motivated college student to enter Arbellas Intern Development Program as anIT Developer I!

Once hired, a program participant is assigned an IT peer mentor. The IT Developer I Intern will assist senior team members in testing application programs, updating simple system requirements, functional and technical specifications in all phases of the software development life cycle. They will code minor changes and participate in a production implementation. The IT Developer I intern will also learn source system data and different query tools.

Key Responsibilities

Application program code (including testing and debugging code at the unit test level)

Updated system configuration artifacts ( simple - e.g forms)

Participate and assist in producing assigned deliverables

Business requirements

Functional and technical specifications

Production implementations with Production Technical Services, Operations and others

Demonstrate an understanding of the Arbella software development life cycle.

Develop an understanding of the knowledge of the applications assigned.

Develop and understanding of specific programming languages and development tools needed to support assigned applications.

Develop a working knowledge of insurance products and forms

Develop a working knowledge of insurance billing and rating processes
