RESPONSIBILITIES: Kforce has a client in search of a Product Support Specialist 1 in Ithaca, New York (NY). Duties: Participate on global and regional project teams Provide training to more junior staff and end-users Maintain a thorough working knowledge of the day-to-day operating environment, available tools, and client applications; Maintain a working knowledge of Service Desk and IT Operations procedures related to client services Perform general maintenance tasks, troubleshooting and resolving laboratory instrument PCs, office PCs, local and networked printers, bar code scanners and other IT peripheral equipment Troubleshoot and identify basic root cause LAN/WAN network issues Install, identify and resolve Microsoft Operating Systems problems Use ticket management system to manage end-user reported problems to completion and meet industry standard service ticket documentation requirements Collaborate with team members and other internal IT teams to identify root causes and solutions under the guidance of management Interact with all levels of employees and management consistently providing a high-standard of professional customer service REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; With 1-year experience, or three years of experience of PC software (Microsoft operating systems and applications suites, email systems, etc.) within a network environment or equivalent combination of education, training and experience One-year of experience installing, troubleshooting and support various networked laboratory instrument systems Experience working in a Pharmaceutical, CRO, or similar regulated environment Knowledge of GLP, GMP, GxP, GAMP and industry standard validation practices, processes and documentation Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting MS Access, Oracle and MS SQL clients Technical knowledge supporting MS SharePoint, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS Access, OneNote (MS Office 365) Experience using IT ticketing management system Use of MS tools and protocols like RDP and SCCM for remote support, software deployment, updates and inventory management Managing PCs, users and groups in MS Active Directory including use of LDAP Experience supporting Virtual Machines and Citrix environments Extensive use of the telephone and face-to-face communications, which requires accurate communication skills Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
