Lead QA Analyst USA | Pennsylvania - Mill Hall Closing date - 30 Sep 2019 Croda is seeking a Lead QA Analyst to join the QA/QC team in our Mill Hall, PA manufacturing facility. The Lead QA Analyst will be responsible for supporting new product development efforts (Health Care) by implementing and performing testing on R&T samples, secondarily will support (1) high level monograph testing, (2) SRO expansion and (3) expiration dating project. Key Duties:Quality Assurance-Quality Control Testing Perform routine and non-routine QA/QC testing of raw materials, in-process and finished products Perform routine and non-routine compendial testing using wet chemical and instrumental methodologies Provide guidance, support and training for wet chemical and instrumental testing activities Analytical testing in support of customer requests/complaints, new product development and site regulatory needs Perform stability testing as needed Support plant operations to ensure product quality (i.e. water testing and cleaning activities) Outside contract testing activitiesAnalytical Method Maintenance and Development Develop, maintain and revise testing methodology associated with raw materials, in-process samples, finished products and developmental products Writing, revising and reviewing standard operating procedures, work instructions and test methods Optimize existing analytical methodology Perform and document analytical method validations as needed Provide training, guidance and support for new method implementation Monitor applicable compendia for revisions, verify compliance and implement necessary changesInstrument Calibration and Maintenance Instrument calibrations and preventative maintenance Troubleshoot problems associated with analytical instruments Assist in procuring and maintaining parts, supplies, reagents, solvents and gases associated with wet and instrumental testingPerform all job duties within the company s safety, health and environmental regulations. All other duties as assigned by management.Qualifications: BS Degree in Chemistry or related discipline, proficient in MS Office. Working knowledge of basic, organic, and analytical chemistry. Working knowledge of Croda manufacturing processes and the pharmaceutical industry. 3 - 5 years experience in an instrumental laboratory setting with some instrumental experience.
