The Docker Engineer is responsible for the technical execution of the design, development and implementation of a Docker Enterprise architecture. This resource must be a high performing individual with the ability to manage multiple technical workloads to deliver high quality results that meet client expectations. The Docker Engineer will manage the Docker based infrastructure, build micro service applications, and deploy applications using Docker. Schedule & Work Location: M-F, 9:00AM-5:00PM or as needed for escalations 90% Office (Iselin, NJ) 10% Office (NYC) Role Responsibilities: Work in a software lifecycle-based environment including requirement analysis, architecture design, version control, milestones, testing, release iteration and deployment Develop and implement infrastructure, configuration management and deployment of solutions using Docker Develop solutions following for continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automation projects practices Tactically, the role will require the following with strong hands on: Manage and orchestrate containerized application using UCP Store images for application components in DTR Build Docker images Store and retrieve Docker images from Docker Hub Build containers from images Deploy applications with Docker and Kubernetes Network Docker containers Achieve data persistence with Volumes Use Docker into a Continuous Integration and Deployment process Control the Docker daemon Configure security and TLS Run applications on multiple containers across multiple host machines Enable Docker Content Trust Setup a registry and understand the Docker Trusted Registry Use Docker Machine, Swarm, and Compose Build micro service applications Effectively collaborate with a multi-team/work stream environment comprised of client resources and subcontractors Requirements and Experience: S. required Strong communication skills Ability to demonstrate problem solving skills Experience working in a team environment Technical Experience: Strong working experience with Linux Operating System At least three to five years of experience in Docker, Ansible, Python, shell scripting and as well as debugging tools / methodologies for these languages; these are heavily preferred skillsets At least 1 to 2 years experience working in Azure in a Systems Engineer capacity Experience with Hyper-V and VMware is desirable - provided by Dice Associated topics: chief program officer, cpo, manage, manager, management, monitor, product manager, project manager, relationship manager, task
