Information Technology Support Specialist Full Time/ 40 hours per week District Wide/Northwest CT area
Support and troubleshoot all computing systems and WiFi connectivity for EdAdvance and member districts
Support and provide training in educational technologies such as Google G-Suite, Interactive LCD projectors, iOS devices and associated apps, Chromebooks, Windows OS, Microsoft Office and Office 365, School Messenger, and Powerschool
Inspect equipment and coordinate necessary repairs with the Director of Technology Operations
Assist in new hardware/software implementation in member districts as deemed necessary by the Director of Technology Operations
Respond to trouble tickets promptly
Open and manage service requests with vendors as necessary
Support, troubleshoot, and upgrade internal EdAdvance systems as needed
Other duties as may be assigned
Regular and consistent attendance is considered an essential function of this position
The I.T. Support Specialist works under the supervision of the Director of Information Technology.
Bachelors in Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent experience
Minimum of one year experience providing technology training; working with educational applications a plus
Knowledge of Windows OS (server and client), Microsoft Office, iOS, Google Apps for Education devices and systems; Powerschool knowledge a plus
Working knowledge of basic TCP/IP communications and Client-Server relationships
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience in writing and preparing reports, evaluations, and technical professional materials
Ability to troubleshoot, identify problems, and investigate solutions
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Travel between sites required using personal vehicle
