We are looking for a full-time Business Development Manager - Aviation Software Services to join our FltPlan.com. In this role, you will be responsible for the sale of aviation flight operations services to the business and air transport aviation markets, requiring technical and operational product knowledge sufficient to make judgments involving complex flight operations to persuade potential customers to buy Garmin products. Other responsibilities include contributing to the development of marketing concepts and annual marketing plans to stimulate sales, perform other related duties required to complete the tasks assigned.
Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and a minimum of 3 years sales experience performing a role substantially similar to the essential functions of this role, demonstrated knowledge of marketing principals, theories and concepts and technical principals of avionics systems. Other position requirements include:
Must possess a Pilots license with Instrument Rating
Must possess a demonstrated commitment and passion for achieving customer satisfaction
Must be an articulate and fluent written and verbal communicate and at ease with public speaking
Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work proactively and effectively with minimal supervision
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast-paced and challenging environment
Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
Driven problem solver and a proven track record in achieving goals
Excellent time management and follow-up skills
Superior organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail and quality
Proficient use of Microsoft Office software, particularly Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
Desirable qualifications include sales experience in the aviation or electronics industry, operational experience at corporate or air transport flight departments, demonstrates operational knowledge of Garmin products, demonstrates a general understanding of the avionics competitive landscape, products and systems, avionics sales experience, more than 500 hours PIC, multi-Engine Rating and/or Certified Flight Instructor Rating, turbine aircraft knowledge or experience, and international language skills.
