Company Overview:

Interstate Air Conditioning & Heating employs a staff of over 70, including field technicians, project managers,estimators, and administrators. Our firm offers a complete rang of Commercial HVAC services throughout New York & New Jersey.

Job Summary:

The primary function of the HVAC Project Manager is to plan and oversee HVAC projects from start to finish in a timely and cost-effective manner. The Project Manager deals directly with field workers, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure projects begin and end with minimal error.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Oversee and ensure HVAC Projects meet budget and schedule timeline in accordance to the scope of work.
  • Oversee piping and sheet metal mechanics to ensure schedule timeline is met.
  • Coordinate, schedule and manage trades people, and subcontractors.
  • Oversee purchasing of all supplies, equipment and material for the project.
  • Perform daily job visits, and inspections.
  • Oversee all aspects of the project, manage change orders, create RFI's, project schedule of tasks, write proposals, and general correspondence.
  • Review projects in-depth for potential liability and roadblocks.


  • Minimum 5 Years of Project Management Experience
  • Minimum Associates Degree
  • Proficient with MS Word and Excel
  • Eye for detail, accuracy is imperative
  • Able to meet deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative
