Big Data Python / Spark / Scala The Python/Spark Software Engineering will be a member of the teams that designs and develops robust Python/Spark applications in partnership with Quantitative Modeling team and other stake-holder groups in Risk and Finance. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and an understanding of Python, Spark, big data technologies (Hadoop) to execute the end-to-end implementation of quantitative models in production environment and has developer role experience in software development/application implementation. This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including: BS/BA degree with minimum of 3 years of relevant experience or Masters with minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. Vibrant OPT candidates with good aptitude skills are welcome as well. Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines Advanced knowledge of architecture, design and business processes Keen understanding of financial control and budget management Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals 2+ years experience designing and developing in Python and Spark. 2+ years experience in Hadoop Platform (Hive, HDFS, Impala) 2+ years experience with Unix shell scripting, SQL and SAS 2+ years experience with Agile methodology.
