Position Description:
Lenovo's Data Center Group is seeking a Senior Security Architect and Engineer
for our Lenovo private cloud platform - ThinkAgile CP
(
/ThinkAgile-CP-Series/p/WMD00000362).

This role will drive the software security strategy for a worldwide private
cloud platform. The Security Architect will be responsible for providing
thought and technical leadership for internal development teams and industry
leadership among our customers, partners, and peers. This position requires a
highly motivated self-starter with strong software security innovation,
development and leadership skills. This is a principal-level position within
software development, and in a highly collaborative environment working
directly with Development, QA, Operations and Product Management teams across
geographies.

  • Master's Degree or PhD degree in Computer Science with a concentration in
    software security and/or equivalent practical experience, such as:
  • Leadership experience
  • Experience in a hands-on role in the field of software security
  • Peer reviewed research papers or books in the area of software security
  • Patent portfolio demonstrating innovation in software security
  • Author or core developer or industry leading software security tools and
    frameworks
  • Deep expertise within cloud security which includes ability to develop and
    design cloud security architecture strategies, frameworks and reference models
  • Must be able to perform application security architecture reviews spanning a
    wide range of digital technologies (web, mobile, embedded)
  • Must be able to perform cloud infrastructure security architecture reviews
  • Ability to define and implement Security standards for SSDLC, working
    closely with DevOps and business leaders to ensure they are adhered to
  • Ability to work closely with engineering teams to ensure security is part
    the technology design and development workflows
  • Ability to communicate software security ideas and concepts to others and
    provide technical direction and domain expertise to development teams
  • Ability to influence diverse teams across DCG and evangelize across DCG and
    with customers, industry and peers
  • Must be able to attend frequent meetings outside of standard working hours,
    to accommodate teams in other time zones.
  • Excellent English speaking and writing skills

Nice to Have

  • Understanding of Cloud Technologies
  • Experience with Web Services, RESTFul architectures, and HTTP/HTTPs protocol
  • Experience with source code control systems
    Experience with GIT is preferred
  • Knowledge of competitor products and industry trends, OpenStack, VMWare
    vCloud or SDDS, AWS
    Linux experience
  • Excellent communications skills able to work with teams across cultures
    fostering trust and collaboration. Comfortable presenting to large groups and
    executives.
