Reporting to the CMO, this individual will work with marketing, operations and finance counterparts to deliver profitable top-line revenue in keeping with brand expansion plans. The ideal candidate person will be a self-starter with technical and business savvy, analytical horsepower, curiosity and creativity. This person will need to reach up and down equally comfortably and dig in and do the heavy lifting in driving the Levain Bakery online business forward while maintaining the incredible brand equity and culture that has made it an enduring part of NYC for more than 20 years. Oh, and theyll have a hunger for the worlds best cookies of course. Responsibilities include: In conjunction with the CMO, set and deliver on strategic plans and budgets, taking full ownership for execution and delivery of targets. Work with the cross-functional organization to re-imagine the ecommerce program for Levain Bakery. Develop an end-to-end consumer experience, working with marketing team, creative agency and development partners to continuously improve the newly relaunched and replatformed LevainBakery.com. In conjunction with brand marketing team, develop merchandising strategies and schedules around particular drive times, particularly the holidays, and leverage marketing channels to drive support of the ecommerce initiatives, including email, social media, gifting marketing efforts, seasonal pushes, etc. Develop and execute on a significant corporate gifting initiative, including building appropriate resources for outbound sales and pipeline management. Oversee and ensure successful launch for a new outbound email marketing program, developing and launching brand-appropriate promotional and lifecycle emails on an ongoing basis. Lead the passionate ecommerce operations team as we deliver significant year over year growth and relocate the organization to a new Long Island City based commissary in Q1 2020. Develop a product roadmap, then manage and prioritize website and IT project updates across the entire ecommerce tech stack, working with external development partners and internal ecommerce team to manage project timelines and budgets. Partner with operations and training team to deploy as appropriate. Manage day-to-day relationships with website third party partners agencies, developers, shipping partners, payment processors, tax collection, email service provider, etc. Lead negotiations with external shipping partners and internal marketing and finance team to develop an optimal consumer proposition for profitable growth. Manage all products and merchandise on levainbakery.com, including scheduling, budgeting and development of creative assets and content updates, where appropriate. Ideate and develop new products and programs for ecommerce platform. Manage SEO program and improvements to maximize organic traffic to LevainBakery.com. Lead performance marketing (including determining human and financial resource needs) to drive awareness and conversion of LevainBakery.com/Levain gifting. Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting of all website issues, communicating as appropriate and working independently to resolve issues. Ensure QA testing of all updates and ongoing monitoring across different browsers and devices. Provide ongoing analysis and reporting of ecommerce analytics. Seek continuous improvement opportunities, including new technologies or value-add projects or operational improvements. Set a budget and manage day-to-day invoicing and tracking. Requirements: Bachelors Degree required, MBA a plus 10+ years work experience in ecommerce role, ideally in both robust and more up-start environments 3-5 years managing external agency, development and vendor partners and projects Experience with Shopify Plus, ShipStation and at least one cloud-based ESP. Experience with performance marketing in support of ecommerce objectives.
