Section I: Scope Information Technology Services (ITS) is a department dedicated to being a valued strategic partner by providing exceptional technology services in alignment with the mission and goals of Manhattan College. ITS works to foster strong relationships with coworkers and our end user community through effective communication, collaboration, and consensus building. The Training Coordinator reports to the Director of Client Services & Operations. The Training Coordinator is responsible for non academic technology training initiatives on campus. The Training Coordinator also trains and supervises a team of student employees. The major responsibility of this position is to develop a system to improve technology literacy across campus. The successful candidate must stay up to date with technology trends and be able to disseminate knowledge to the community in an effective manner. Section II: Responsibilities Reports to: Director of Client Services and Operations Supervises: ITS Trainer/Analyst & Student Employees Responsibilities: Coordinate multiple training events, appointments, and initiatives Create ITS Orientation materials for new employees and new students Work with Department Heads to identify pain points and develop training to address Provide excellent web, phone, and in person customer service Create Classroom Guides for using Technology Create Knowledge Base Articles and Videos Present content effectively & Engage the community (Blog, Digital Signage, etc) Introduces innovative use of new technology Work with campus partners on student success initiatives Member of the College Technology Committee Thoroughly document all work activity in Ticketing/Project management system Document procedures related to daily tasks as well as new system implementation Create easy to follow user documentation on supported technology Ensure quality and consistency for all training materials Provide training to end users on supported technology in the form of one-on-one meetings and workshop sessions Coordinate technology training efforts for the whole campus Coordinate ITS employee training Ensure Quality Control Makes tickets as appropriate Supervise ITS Trainer/Analyst Supervise & Train ITS training team student employees Foster an environment of excellent customer service Documents new procedures Provide training and communicate department policies and procedures to Campus support staff Process Student Employee Payroll Other duties as assigned Section III: Qualifications Qualifications Bachelors degree required Bachelors degree in technology training related field preferred Masters degree in technology training related field preferred 3 or more years of experience working in a similar role with increasing responsibility required. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing Excellent Customer Service skills required Knowledge of basic computer and network troubleshooting preferred. Engaging personality a must Ability to garner buy in from the community Demonstrate Emotional Intelligence Interest in technology Ability to quickly and easily learn new technology and present to end users Excellent leadership skills Demonstrate knowledge of pedagogy Patience and dedication Ability to work outside of normal work hours when needed Must have the ability to multitask and execute projects on multiple timelines. Requires the ability to be flexible and able to adapt to changes in work agenda and timelines. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment Excellent grammatical skills; lively, engaging writing style, and demonstrated ability to create correspondence for large groups Experience creating presentation materials. Knowledge of presentation software such as Prezi, Google Slides or Microsoft PowerPoint Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude working across all levels of staff Ability to work under pressure of deadlines and maintain an extremely high level of attention to detail and professionalism Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 50 pounds Must be able to climb ladders Manhattan College is an independent Catholic coeducational institution in the Lasallian tradition.
