Job description

The IT Applications Analyst supports business critical applications including Intuitive ERP. Solves organizational information problems and requirements by analyzing requirements; designing computer programs; recommending system controls and protocols. Provides data analytics support by maintaining and extending reporting tools available to the business. Must be able to successfully complete projects at all complexity levels, from requirements gathering through customer acceptance, on time and on budget.

This position will be based in our East Granby, CT facility and report to Chief Information Officer.



Key Responsibilities:

Support critical business applications including ERP, labor time collection and other shop floor execution systems

Develop/extend reporting tools from Intuitive ERP and other data sources

Design new computer programs by analyzing requirements; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications

Improves system by studying current practices; designing modifications

Support all areas of the business, as requested by determining the most efficient ways of providing needed data

Proficient in use of Microsoft SQL*Server and associated analytical toolset including SSIS, SSRS, SSAS. Exposure to Power BI or other data visualization tools a plus

Provide references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation; providing help desk support; training users

Maintain user confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential

Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Ensures adherence to applicable MB Aerospace internal, federal, state and local laws and regulations related to compliance and takes responsibility to ensure ongoing conformity with such rules and regulations

Job Requirements

Bachelors degree in a technical discipline preferred.

3+ years of Enterprise Resource Planning systems experience. Experience with Intuitive preferred.

3+ years of progressive experience with Microsoft .NET technologies, including T-SQL, C# and VB.Net.

Strong BI development experience including development with SQL*Server analytics tools including SSRS, SSAS and SSIS.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Strong manufacturing systems knowledge including Bills of Materials and Inventory.

Understands Accounting and Cost Accounting data and processes

Experience in business systems analysis, incident and change management.

Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly while working independently

Make decisions and take action to solve a problem or reach a goal

Conduct research and apply new technology to solve problems

Be self-directed, producing results in an organized manner

Organize and direct a project through to completion

Utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines

Work as a team member with a variety of people

Effectively utilize the Microsoft Office suite of applications to support decision-making

Must have a valid US Passport
