As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

This team is working on the Visual Builder (VB), a new service in the Oracle Cloud. VB enables developers to visually and productively build rich business applications that work across multiple devices - from mobile to desktop. The functionality of this service focuses on building data entry forms, business workflows, charting and reporting, a custom component model, rich UI customization, integration with other existing Oracle SaaS and PaaS services, advanced authentication and security, efficient team collaboration, sound developer workflow practices and more. What would you do?
As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing a cloud provisioning solution for a strategic cloud product.
Provision services to the Oracle cloud using technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker
Creating an automated scripted environment to stand up and operate cloud services
Connectivity to other Oracle services that are a part of the Cloud Platform
Assuring compliance with the Oracle Cloud standards and requirements for security, high availability and other areas
Troubleshoot system production issues
Required Knowledge and Skills
BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.
2 years of software engineering or related experience.
Expert-level knowledge and strong hands-on experience with Linux and Unix platform
Strong experience scripting in Bash and Python
Experience with Linux virtualization/container technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker
In-depth knowledge of networks, load balancers and TCP/IP
Familiarity with identity, security and encryption technologies
Experienced at operating highly available and secure public-facing internet services
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
Ability to understand and apply new knowledge quickly
We would be glad, if you have something out of the following:
Database administration skills, preferably using Oracle Database
Experience in developing infrastructure code using Terraform, Ansible
System scripting languages such as Puppet or Chef
Knowledge of backend application server software, preferably WebLogic
Familiarity with build technologies/servers such as Jenkins and Maven
Exposure to software development methodologies
