Job Summary

The SSCB Project Management Office (PMO) is responsible for a number of new product developments and needs a highly-capable and driven project management professional to lead and manage projects to bring these developments to market.
You will be responsible for managing product group strategies, project planning and execution activities, and coordinating resources for product development projects.
You will lead teams comprised of cross-functional resources for the development and implementation of new product design, manufacturing, and marketing strategies associated with new products, factored products, continuation projects, and new business development activities.


  • Accountable for the overall project success through the full product lifecycle, from concept through release. Success is measured by achieving the project goals on time, within product cost targets and quality standards, including meeting functional and performance requirements.

  • Lead and manage the development and release to production of new products through the application of a Common Product Development (CPD) stage-gate process to achieve timely product release.

  • Apply rigorous planning for scope definition, cost estimation, scheduling, resource utilization, and overall risk management.

  • Understand various technologies used in the product development, including their implications and associated risks. The ability to understand, articulate and plan the various project elements is an important aspect of this role.?

  • Monitor and track project key milestones, timeline, and budget.

  • Apply broad knowledge of manufacturing systems and processes utilized for product release and achieve target quality metrics

  • Identify, mitigate, and communicate project issues, risks, and status to team members and stakeholders.

  • Report to business management and senior management on progress while ensuring the project commitments are achieved.

  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of internal business practices to include strategy, portfolio plans, finance, etc.
