How will you make an impact?
The Senior Service Product Manager is a high-output strategic marketing role, responsible for working with service and product divisions to create and manage market/customer-focused service product portfolios, pricing, and strategies, preference and demand in support of Thermo Fisher services. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Services Product Management, this position is responsible for developing and executing the strategic service marketing plans for Services Portfolio Management for compliance services. This position is ideal for a candidate with both a strong marketing and product management background who has successfully developed and executed targeted marketing programs for business-to-business technology markets and customers with complex buying cycles. This position can be based anywhere in the U.S.
What will you do? Lead strategy, market focus, customers, products, value propositions, and competitive points of differentiation and execution of compliance services portfolio globally. Work closely with the Product Business Unit Leaders, Sales VPs, Service Support and Field Service Directors and Managers, to drive double digit services revenue growth and maximize installed base service revenue potential globally. Manage cross functional teams to drive new service development, improve existing services and leverage regional regulations and service capabilities to drive growth and improve profitability. Identify trends, innovations, and product-dependent service requirements to create long-term strategic direction for future services and communicate infrastructure requirements to senior management. Define service product road maps that ensure service is a competitive advantage in the overall Company value proposition. Develop framework for analyzing customer requirements, industry trends, market segmentation, competitive landscape in order to prepare business case for investment in new service initiatives. Build a competitive intelligence system that tracks key competitors and industry players to identify their strengths, weaknesses, strategies, plans and performance. Develop and execute service product marketing plans for new and existing portfolios including service product definition, pricing, positioning and value propositions. Develop and maintains industry presence and personal network to develop opportunities. Identify business structure and execution models needed for growth leveraging local delivery functions. Work with Business Units on product positioning and packaging to lead growth opportunities at point of sale.
How will you do it? Requires a Bachelor s degree in an Business, Life Sciences or a similar discipline with general knowledge/understanding of Biology, Marketing, and product management. Experience working in a matrixed environment, leading teams without direct authority Minimum of 5 years experience of P&L management and product management experience. Demonstrated ability to successfully launch new products in a dynamic market place. Demonstrated success developing and executing global innovation. Ability to engage with others constructively, and manage relationships successfully, in a highly collaborative culture is essential. Travel requirements: up to 50% travel
