**Statement of the Job**:
The Program Coordinator is a member of a two person Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) professional staff which facilitates volunteerism for those who are 55 or over in Hancock, Penobscot, Piscataquis, and Washington Counties. The RSVP staff accomplishes this by the enrollment of eligible volunteers and new volunteer sites, and supporting currently enrolled volunteers. Duties include assisting the program director with Corporation for National & Community Service compliance requirements around programming that supports seniors aging in place. **This position is based on the University of Maine Augusta campus in Bangor, Maine. The anticipated salary for this soft-money funded position is $36,000.**

* Bachelor's degree in social work, public health, healthcare, education, marketing, or equivalent combination of education and commensurate experience.
* Successful experience in recruiting and managing volunteers.
* Skills in personnel and program development/management including supervising others.
* Skills in working collaboratively with other agencies and organizations.
* Self-motivated and self-directed.
* Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
* Strong computer skills with database experience.
* Experience marketing programs as well as posting to social media and web sites.
* Ability to travel; normally requiring a valid driver's license.
* Previous experience with programs affiliated with the Corporation for National and Community Service.
